A 26-year-old woman named Lisa Strueh was killed in a car crash in Avon in April 2016. Police have identified the cause of the accident that killed a woman at the intersection of East Main Street and West Broad Street in Avon Lake. A 26-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman, both residents of the area, were traveling in a Polaris 4 Wheeler, according to a report from the Avonshire County Sheriff's Office. She was pronounced dead at the scene, as was a police officer in Avin, according to the report. Police identified her as Lisa Stüh of Avon Lake, Ohio.
Avon Police received several calls informing them that an officer / sergeant from the Avonshire County Sheriff's Office and Indiana State Police had issued an arrest warrant for him and reported an address at 60 Buck Creek Road without paying $3,000. The Indiana State Highway at the intersection of East Main Street and West Broad Street is closed, and all roads in and around the Buck area are closed. The Creek Road was declared a Silver Alert by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police, police said in a news release. The offices of the Avin Police and Fire Department and the city's fire and police departments are closed. The Police Regulation Office is open from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
